Our story

We are an independent transfer company providing a professional service with a personal touch. Based in Alpe d’Huez, which is centrally located in the Grandes Rousses massif mountain range to serve the linked ski resorts of of Vaujany, Oz-en-Oisans,  Villard Reculas and Auris. In addition to the nearby resorts of Les Deux Alpes, Serre Chevalier and La Grave.

We offer private transfers in our comfortable, winter optimised Volkswagen Caravelles. Providing transport between alpine chalets, hotels, resort accommodation and all major transport hubs in the department of Isère in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.  Serving the popular flight routes to the airports of Grenoble, Lyon and Chambéry.

We transport hundreds of ski and snowboard enthusiasts to the sunny slopes of the Alpe D’Huez Grand Domaine ski area, and beyond, every winter. At Southwest Transfers, we believe comfortable, quality and affordable transfers are an important part of your holiday so we put great care and effort into our scheduling, communications, punctuality and safety. You will appreciate our 24hr customer service and problem solving if things like flight delays disrupt your plans.

Our experienced and friendly English speaking drivers will welcome you in person at the airport and with their wealth of local knowledge of the roads and routes to your destination will keep you moving even during the busiest weeks of the winter ski season, so you can relax and start your holiday the right way.

The owner’s of Southwest Transfers, Éabha and Jack, settled in France ten years ago and during that time we have built up a wealth of experience in the transport and tourism industries. Your Southwest Transfers team have lived, worked and skied in these mountains for the past 10 years. We are not just here to give you a top-class service, we are also here because of our love of the mountains. This means we take our role and our reputation seriously.
